At the beginning JARS Center for Quality was a counseling company which in the year 2000 as first company in Poland prepares and begins auditing of large area shops in relation to food safety.
Subsequently JARS began to train managers and employees of these shops in quality systems and implementation of Good Manufacturing Practice and Good Hygienic Practice.
Shortly after the range of services also begins to cover counseling and advising in the food sector including: preparation of documentation and implementation of such system as: HACCP, GMP i GHP as well as technological projects.
JARS begins to cooperate with hypermarket chains:
And begins to introduce HACCP system in all hypermarkets across Poland.
These are one of the first moves of this character resulting from EU regulations and they can surely be called innovative.
Hundreds of trained persons, thousands of documentation pages, hundreds of conducted audits - all picture the scale of company's functionality.
In June 2002 there takes place transition of JARS into a public limited company takes place and the name changes into:
JARS Center for Quality Ltd.
All employees, contracts, clients and methodology remains the same.
Subsequently the company opens its own microbiological laboratory along with implementation of the innovative method of auditing in the food sector.
The laboratory gets modern equipment which accompanied by professional staff allows the company to develop dynamically.
Quickly foodstuff testing resulting solely from audits become peripheral.
The company gains more and more clients and the laboratory introduces more and more innovative analytical methods and the quality system based on ISO:17025.
Soon after the accreditation certificate issued in 2004 by DAR (German Accreditation Council) confirms company's well-aimed actions and credibility of results.
JARS is the only Polish laboratory to receive German accreditation. The certification audit is carried out by DACH - German Accreditation Body.
It is a great distinction and tests results from JARS are honoured all over Europe.
At that time PCA (Polish Accreditation Body) was not a signatory of EA Multilateral Agreement but JARS already signed contracts with many foreign clients.
The range of activity covers the whole area of the Republic of Poland.
Every day sample collectors set out on their journeys to collect samples for laboratory testing.
Logistics and sample collection constitute the company's strong asset as sample collectors are experienced persons with higher education in the field of food technology, biotechnology, chemistry.
They offer advise to our clients and make sure that samples arrive to the laboratory on time.
Transport of samples takes place under legally regulated conditions and it remains under constant monitoring.
Soon after JARS as one of a few laboratories also obtains accreditation for collection and transport of samples.
Complex customer service remains crucial for the company's philosophy.
Those clients who conduct their laboratory tests at JARS can also count on substantial counselling and help in solving problems.
The department which deals with counselling, trainings and implementation of quality systems consists of experienced employees with higher education.
The company's politics aims at fulfilment of clients' needs and meeting their expectations.
In order to achieve this the biggest emphasis is put on:
professionalism and broad knowledge of employees and constant increase of their qualifications and creativity, the highest quality of services and tests and their credibility,
The name of the company is not a coincidence either as it combines the company's philosophy with its politics:
QUALITY OF AGRICULTURE-GROCERY PRODUCTS:
In 2006 the company moves to the new (freshly constructed) headquarters in Łajski near Legionowo.
In a large building of ca 500m2 area office space is situated alongside the most modern laboratory.
What follows is the subsequent period of the company's dynamic growth. A physicochemical laboratory appears alongside the microbiological laboratory. In one year it accredits new methods from food chemistry.
The range of tests becomes much broader.
Apart from food the laboratory begins testing water, sewage, air, cosmetics, domestic chemistry.
The company invests in equipment and human resources.
Big emphasis is put on trainings of personnel and management.
Because of this the laboratory is able to maintain high level of testing and at the same time introduce new analytical methods and search for innovations allowing producers to bring their products to perfection.
Apart from the above the company continues to export its knowledge and experience.
The company trains veterinary doctors and sanitary inspectors who control food safety on the Polish market.
Large chains of hypermarkets such as Real, Makro, Selgros, Billa remain the company's clients as well as many leading food producers in Poland.
In 2008 JARS opens the food sensory laboratory which, in August 2009, receives accreditation with the broadest range on the Polish market.
Simultaneously the physicochemical laboratory continues to develop which results in its division and the purchased equipment allows for steady increase in range of conducted tests.
Also at the same time the number of clients steadily increases engulfing more and more Polish food producers.
This is why apart from the laboratory services we also offer consulting services regarding food safety, auditing and designing.
In August 2009 JARS succeeded in passing the certification audit and in October it received the PCA accreditation with one of the broadest scopes of microbiological, physicochemical and sensory testing in Poland.
Change of the accreditation body results from new EU regulation (from 1.1.2010) stating that each laboratory must obtain accreditation of a body from its own country.
